Quality of life apart, one of the key requirements for most is that their Spanish property purchase represents a sound investment. By considering inland properties your initial purchase price is significantly lower than property along the coastal strips – giving potentially greater growth prospects from the outset.

Ryan Air and Monarch are now offering direct flights into the local Granada Airport. This is likely to place significant upward pressure on property prices as demand already exceeds supply – for the better properties.

It is important to, again, emphasis that we are not Estate Agents. However, from time to time clients request that we place details of their existing property on our Site - which we are happy to do.

As stated previously we will not invite you to view a property unless we know it to be fully available for purchase and represents fair value. It is important to understand that the property market within the villages is very fluid and fraught with difficulties as properties can be withdrawn at the drop of a hat - often without the agents being informed – only to be offered again in a few months at a much higher price! Off this room is a corridor that takes you to a large double bedroom and a fully fitted bathroom/laundry room. Also off the kitchen is the entrance into a small terraced area.

General

The house has heavy double glazed wooden doors and window throughout – with external blinds and wooden internal shutters.

The apartment has white aluminium double glazed units and external shutters. A heavy duty, high security front door is fitted. There is a dishwasher installed and a washing machine fitted in the laundry room.

All electrics are new and to the latest standard – with a separate system and meter for the apartment (this also applies to the water). All new building work included foam cavity insulation on the double skinned walls. The entire ground floor ceiling has also been insulated with foam, prior to putting the ceilings in place. The entire building is about 180 squ metres. There is both a satellite dish and a terrestrial TV aerial.

The Village

Fornes is only 5 minutes from Lake Bermejales. It has two shops, four bars and a weekly market – as well as the usual complement of daily van deliveries for bread etc.
