Alhamavillages.com was formed in 2004 - following 5 years research into the inland Spain property market. During those 5 years – 20 plus trips – we found out the hard way how much time and money can be wasted meeting with so called Agents to look at properties that

  • Were not actually on their books – details having been “lifted” from another Agent’s site
  • Had already been sold
  • Were completely miss described
  • Did not have a clear title
  • Suffered a price increase – as soon as an “expat” was known to be interested

We determined to put all this hard won experience to use and alhamavillages was born. From the outset, we decided that we would only work with registered Estate Agents, who have a clear and unambiguous client contract – which defines the selling price and what their commission will be. Remember, this business is still largely unregulated in Spain – at present. Virtually anyone can set up as an Estate Agent!

We have worked hard to develop a sufficient spread of Estate Agents with whom we have a contract to be able offer an intimate knowledge of all the villages and the, distinct, regions that we represent.

However, unlike Estate Agents who work on behalf of the seller, we are a wholly independent property search company dedicated to working for you - The Buyer.

Once we have a clear understanding of your needs and situation, we will contact you and discuss your options fully.

Throughout the process we can recommend specialists to work on your behalf (English speaking Spanish Lawyers, help with translation, transfer of finance etc) and will be with you throughout the procedure for obtaining an NIE number, if required.

Our business model is very simple, and transparent. As you can see, below, you get the benefit of our local knowledge, detailed research and access to carefully selected professionals at no cost to you!

The Business Process

  • Fully complete questionnaire and send to us
  • We contact you to confirm details and feasibility
  • We undertake a detailed search for suitable properties and forward a summary to you
  • We arrange for you to view relevant properties, at a mutually agreed time and date
  • On completion, the Estate Agent pays us a percentage of their commission - you pay nothing

We work on the same basis with all our carefully selected agents - thus ensuring that there is no "Bias" towards any one agent.
